Over the past several years, paralegals have taken on an increasingly important role in providing legal services. Today, the professionally trained paralegal can look forward to an exciting and challenging career. Paralegal Studies is designed to provide exposure to the academic and technical foundation necessary for a successful career in the paralegal field.

Students will be exposed to the skills necessary to work as paralegals in large firms, corporate legal departments, banks, or the offices of individual attorneys. Students will also explore opportunities in neighborhood legal service agencies, federal and state court systems, or government offices and receive intensive legal course work and a well-balanced curriculum of liberal arts, communications and business and computer courses.
